Celtics Dominate Warriors in Game 3, Take 2-1 Series Lead

Jayson Tatum and Marcus Smart Lead Boston's Charge

Boston Celtics 116, Golden State Warriors 100

The Boston Celtics put together a dominant performance in Game 3 of the NBA Finals, defeating the Golden State Warriors 116-100 to take a 2-1 series lead. Jayson Tatum and Marcus Smart led the way for Boston, combining for 50 points in the victory.

Tatum, who had struggled in the first two games of the series, erupted for a team-high 26 points, 6 rebounds, and 9 assists. Smart added 24 points, 7 rebounds, and 5 assists. The Celtics also received strong contributions from Al Horford (11 points, 11 rebounds) and Robert Williams III (10 points, 11 rebounds).

The Warriors were led by Stephen Curry's 27 points, but they were unable to keep pace with the Celtics' hot shooting. Boston shot 50.6% from the field, including 43.5% from three-point range. Golden State, on the other hand, shot just 40.6% from the field and 29.6% from three-point range.

The Celtics now have a chance to take a commanding 3-1 series lead when they host the Warriors in Game 4 on Friday night at TD Garden.
